Remote Product Sourcing Contractor
Help UC Operations find verified, lower-cost suppliers for our existing Large Orders for 2nd Type products. This is flexible, results-based sourcing work—not a purchasing or invoice role.
- Remote · Worldwide
- Independent contractor opportunity
- 1688 preferred; Alibaba allowed
- Commission-only compensation
What you would do
- Read an active Large Orders row and its exact product variations, quantities, and reference details.
- Search 1688 first and compare Alibaba suppliers when useful. Obtain supplier-confirmed prices for the required variations—not just a marketplace listing price.
- Confirm the product match, availability, supplier images, packing details, and delivery cost. Compare supplier delivery to our Shenzhen warehouse with Neo pickup and use the cheaper valid option.
- Put images in the temporary reorder sheet so a checker can verify the supplier’s product, then prepare a Quality Control Document (QCD) with supporting evidence.
- Answer the checker’s questions until the QCD is marked Good. Patrick and other workers handle the later order steps.
How compensation works
This role has no fixed salary, hourly wage, or guaranteed payment for submitting or obtaining approval of a QCD. The worker whose supplier and QCD are selected and actually used for a supplier order earns a sourcing commission: final approved savings × the commission percentage shown on that order’s row.
An approved QCD that is not used for an order does not earn that sourcing commission. The QCD is complete for wage purposes when the invoice worker places the supplier order. Earned wages are paid every other Saturday, Philippine time. The percentage and potential earnings vary by order; no earnings amount is guaranteed.
What helps you succeed
- Careful comparison of product specifications, sizes, materials, and variations.
- Ability to communicate with suppliers and document clear written quotes.
- Comfort using Google Sheets and Docs; 1688 or Alibaba experience is helpful but the guide covers how to get started.
- Reliable follow-through on checker questions and deadlines.
How to apply
- Read the written worker guide and watch the training videos linked near its top.
- Complete the Large Orders worker application, including its knowledge-check questions.
- Wait for a manual review. Applying does not automatically provide access to company sheets or authorize supplier purchases.
